Paola V. Reyes is a Puerto Rican–Dominican Cinematographer and Visual Storyteller whose work blends technical precision with an intuitive, art-driven approach to image-making. Her creative foundation began long before she stepped on a film set—shaped by early years spent painting and drawing, which developed her sensitivity to color, composition, and visual emotion. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Digital Film Production from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and further strengthened her technical expertise through the REDucation Workshop at AbelCine in New York City and the ARRI Alexa 35 Bootcamp at AbelCine in Los Angeles.
Paola’s journey in the industry began as a BTS Photographer, documenting the behind-the-scenes world of music videos and creative productions. Capturing stories from the outskirts of the frame sparked her passion for filmmaking and led her toward the camera department, where she grew into a 1st Camera Assistant/Focus Puller. These formative roles sharpened her technical discipline, collaboration skills, and on-set awareness—eventually supporting her transition into Camera Operator and her expanding work as a Cinematographer.
In 2015, Paola founded Kings Pictures, her Production Company and Rental House. Through Kings Pictures, she has collaborated with major brands such as Mazda, Crunch Fitness, Hospital Auxilio Mutuo, Centropiezas Plus, Bella Group, and NUC University, among many others, as well as artists including Jon Z, Villano Antillano, MIMA, Los Rabanes, Snow Tha Product, Los Wálters, Epilogio, and Yovngchimi. Her cinematography has received festival recognition, including a Special Mention in Best Cinematography for "Queer Royals" at the Puerto Rico Queer Film Festival and the Director’s Choice Award for Best LGBTQ+ Documentary at the Rincón International Film Festival in 2020.
A major milestone in her creative path is her upcoming first feature documentary Entre las Vías, where she served as Cinematographer and Co-Producer. The film will premiere in January 2026 at Caribbean Cinemas. Paola is also in the process of opening a photo, video, and podcast studio, a project that began construction in 2025 and will officially launch in 2026. Designed as a versatile, creator-centered space, the studio will offer high-quality production resources and support for local talent, brands, and storytellers across the island.
